Animals you would not believe people eat

Hello everyone! It's finally my holidays and I'm here to post again. In this post I'm going to introduce Animals you would not believe people would eat! Food is defined as anything that could be digested and absorbed in the body.Therefore anything as absurd as elephant is counted.
So here are my top3 items:

3)Rats

credit:Fried rat taste like fried chicken
How could anyone eat rats?They are dirty from crawling in the dirt and everywhere dirty.They are quite famous dishes in china. And one rat could contain many bacteria and spread diseases.

2)Horses

credit: Horses, i do not believe can be eaten
Such cute creatures! They are said to be quite low in calories and tasted quite like liver. Yikes! I hope that horses would not be extinct after few years if this continues.
Do go to
New Tourist Attraction: Horse Meat for more information.

1)Turtles!

Turtles are cooked into stews and eaten whole(without the shell, of course).There's even the sale of turtle soup in Singapore! Can you believe it? I would not certainly try it cause they are intelligent creatures.They are endangered because of being caught illegally and eaten.

There are certainly lots of endangered animals that is caught and eaten by people unaware or aware.So please do your part for the animals and the world to be a better place to live in!
Here's a forum for people to discuss on eating different kind of animals (:

Yum yum in singapore

Hello! Here I am again to introduce food all around the world. But in this post I am going to introduce unique Singapore food! Most tourists who tasted Food in Singapore think that our food is unusual. Even the 'sweet smelling' durian is considered a vomit food to them!!
So now i am going to introduce you to some of my favourite food :

• Chinese
Chwee kueh / 水粿;

This white steam kueh with preserved radish (chai po) have both the crunch and softness. I love to eat it with chilli or even straight from the package. It’s a popular and inexpensive breakfast dish for Singaporeans.

• Indian
Putu mayam;

At first sight I thought it look like steamed bee hoon. But after tasting it, it taste completely different! It’s paired with orangish sugar for a sweeter taste. I believe not many people have tasted this dish before so do try out.

• Malay
Roti john;

It’s an omelette sandwich with meat, spread with chilli, ketchup or even mayonnaise. It’s my must buy from pasar malam! It tastes like burger but with a special egg-y and slight sour taste.

• Peranakan
Ang Ku Kueh/ 紅龜粿;
Photobucket
Actually I did not know that Ang ku kueh is a peranakan dish. But this is simply one of my favourite. Its name which literally means ang (red), ku (turtle) and kueh (cake) .It’s a chewy and sweet snack that is normally eaten in weddings or auspicious days.

• Eurasians
Devil's curry;

I have not really tasted it before but I guess its one hot curry! It originated from the Eurasians who came to Singapore and spread their recipe. I have sourced for a devil' curry recipe for readers so you could prepare for the up-coming Christmas ;D

There are definitely much more Singapore-only dishes around. So I hope you all could go mingle at your near-by hawker place to find more unique food stalls. And do share with us.
Do vote for your favourite too! :D
